It Ain’t Easy Being Elvis
INEBE Productions & Dacia Management Present
‘It Ain’t Easy Being Elvis’
Starring Andy Seymour & The Southern Gentlemen
‘It Ain’t Easy Being Elvis’ is the story of one man’s journey across the globe as an Elvis Presley tribute artist. This is NOT an Elvis impersonator show and you certainly don’t have to be an Elvis fan to enjoy this very personal and fascinating insight into what it takes to ‘make it’ on the world stage.
Seriously, you couldn’t make this stuff up!
It’s packed full of outrageous ‘behind-the-scenes’ stories, great songs and hysterical anecdotes that will have you laughing, crying, dancing and singing-along.
“Video clips, songs and anecdotes from the outrageous to the poignant, kept us laughing to the point of tears. An exceptional raconteur…WOW!”
– WeekendPlus Magazine
The son of an Itinerant Preacher, Andy Seymour was raised amidst a dynamic Gospel music environment. By age 12, he was playing drums in his Father’s fiery gospel church services. His boundless passion for music was further fired by the eclectic songs he heard coming from small town radio stations. This cultivated a love for the voices of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Tony Joe White and even the Crooners like Dean Martin & Nat King Cole left their impression.
Andy’s ‘Bless My Soul – The Gospel Music of Elvis’ sold out at the 2016 Adelaide Fringe, receiving 2 standing ovations and widespread critical acclaim.
“Seymour is in complete control of his material & has what it takes to wow an audience”
– The Adelaide Advertiser
Spending most of the 2000’s based in the USA, Andy’s powerhouse vocal performances worked their magic on American audiences who fell in love with his genuine appreciation, and understanding of, their heartland music. To this day, Andy is often invited back for Festival and ‘special guest’ appearances.
“He launched into his first song, and the front row spontaneously combusted”
-Planeta en Ritmo Festival, Austin Texas
Add in the outstanding musical talents of ‘The Southern Gentlemen’ and you have all the ingredients for an intriguing new show that mixes the songs you know with stories you’ll love and laughs aplenty…& all without a single jumpsuit in sight!
