NOTE: Approval fee of $100 for paid ticket event or $30 for free events is payable prior to your event being included in the program. This fee will be invoiced to you via the email provided on receipt of the below form.

    Event organisers need to organise their own insurances unless part of a SALT team curated event.
    Please note that commission on art sales during SALT Festival is 15%. This charge is separate to any commission required by the venue. Most SALT venues do not charge commission but please check prior to confirming your exhibition venue. In order to receive payment for commissioned artwork post Festival you will invoice us at email: info@saltfestival.com.au C/- Southern Eyre Arts Incorporated, PO Box 2309, PORT LINCOLN SA 5606 and income minus fees will be banked into your account within 60 days post event. Often this timeframe will be shorter, but 60 days provides time for event finalisation to occur.
    Please note that commission on merchandise sales during SALT is 15%.
    Note all events are ticketed to manage numbers and contact details of patrons. There are no ticketing charges for free events.
  • Please review fees and charges when you establish your budget for your event to ensure your costs and SALT commission are covered through your ticket price.
    Note – SALT charges a 15% commission on tickets for non-licensed events and 20% commission on tickets for licensed events. Our ticketing provider will charge the ticket buyer a booking fee (incl. GST) of:
    • 3.75% +$1 AUD on all ticket sales (excludes free events)
    • $0 per ticket for free tickets
    Please ensure that the budget for your event covers all costs including permit applications, production, lighting, electrical, security or other costs to ensure the viability of your event and costs are covered by your ticket price
  • This question is asking if you are providing any food or drinks (including alcoholic) during SALT Festival.
    It costs $94.00 for a limited licence if done no later than 2 weeks prior to event. If you are providing drinks for free you don’t need one.
  • Provide other detail not contained in the form that will assist us to support the coordination and presentation of your event during SALT Festival.

    Rates for caterers are included in our guidelines for Festival contributors. SALT does have some exclusivity arrangements with our sponsors and local producers, so please provide adequate detail in your response so that we can work with you to coordinate best arrangements.
  • Accepted file types: jpg, png, pdf, Max. file size: 2 MB.
    Recommended size is 800x600 or 600x800 pixels, maximum of 2000 x 2000 pixels. Allowed file types are: .jpg, .png.
  • Please include 25-50 word description of your event to help us publicise your event. A supporting promotional still or flyer can be uploaded above. Promotional movie of up to 60secs in mp4 format can be sent via file transfer to info@saltfestival.com.au Recommended free platforms for video are Hightail and WeTransfer.
  • By submitting this application and supporting information you give permission for the SALT team to use information to support the coordination and programming of your event, and use supporting information for programming, website, event ticketing, social media and mainstream media promotion.

    Please ensure that the budget for your event covers all costs including permit applications, liquor licenses, production, lighting, electrical, security or other costs to ensure the viability of your event.

    Any costs incurred by SALT in the presentation or production of your event will be passed on to you as the event holder and will be discussed with you at the coordination phase. The submission of this application is deemed as acceptance that you understand and agree to any costs incurred specific to your event being passed on to you. This does not include poster and program production and distribution, website and event ticketing updates which are covered in your application fee.
